The Bridge with StageTraxx
Does the band play with backing tracks in StageTraxx on a Mac? The Bridge is a small program on that Mac. With it, Stagekit loads the right song in LIVE, and you start and stop the track from your phone or tablet. This is only for the band leader.
How to do it
Go to Me, tap the gear for Settings and then StageTraxx Bridge
Open the Bridge on the Mac
Don't have it yet? Open Stagekit in the browser on the Mac and choose Download Bridge there.
Put this device on the same wifi as the Mac
In the app, tap Find the Bridge
Tap the Mac that was found
On the Mac, click Allow
You see Connected to and the name of the Mac.
In LIVE
- At the top is a bar with Stop on the left and Start on the right. The light is green when the Bridge is connected.
- The band's song loads in StageTraxx by itself. If a track is still playing, only when it stops.
- Start is always a tap. Stagekit never starts by itself.
- When the track has finished, Next lights up.
My computer isn't listed
Tap My computer isn't listed. Fill in the Name of the MacBook and the Bridge code. Both are in the Bridge app on the Mac. Tap Connect.
In the browser
In Stagekit in the browser you don't search the wifi. Under Enter it yourself, fill in the name and the code and tap Connect. A certificate of the Bridge is also needed on your device there. If connecting fails, tap Install certificate.
Good to know
- The Bridge app on the Mac helps you set up StageTraxx.
- Each song with a track gets a StageTraxx number in Stagekit, when editing the song under Backing track.
- Everything works without internet, on the wifi on stage.
- Won't the Mac open the Bridge the first time? Go to System Settings, Privacy & Security, and choose Open Anyway.
