Import songs

Does the band already have a list of songs, or sheets in Word or pdf? Then you don't need to type everything again. You do this on a computer, in Stagekit in the browser.

How to do it

This is how you read in a list of titles.

  1. Go to Manage and then Sheets

  2. Choose Songs from a PDF

  3. Choose a PDF or a photo of the list, or drag it in

  4. Stagekit reads the titles and suggests artist, key and tempo for each song

  5. Check everything

    Tick what should go in, and tap the button to add the songs.

The band's sheets

  1. Go to Manage, Sheets and choose Import sheets.
  2. Choose the sheets: Word, pdf, photo or text. From Word, Stagekit keeps the layout: blue becomes a chord, underlined becomes backing vocals, red a heading.
  3. Check per song whether it is right.

Bars from StageTraxx

Does the band play with backing tracks in StageTraxx? Then you take over, per song, where each part starts. That way the blocks on stage follow the track.

  1. Make a backup in StageTraxx: Settings, Backups, Database only.
  2. Go to Manage, Sheets, Bars from StageTraxx and choose that file.
  3. Choose per song what you take over.

Good to know

  • Everything Stagekit suggests is a suggestion. Check tempo and key in particular.
  • A song that is already there is not added twice.
  • Reading in with AI only works with internet.
  • Import sheets is only there if the band has its own band sheet.
