Add or edit a song

Whoever keeps the songs puts them into Stagekit here. There is one version of each song for the whole band. Everyone sees it in their own way.

How to do it

  1. Tap Songs at the bottom, then the three dots at the top right and New song

  2. Fill in the Title, and what you know: Artist, Key, Tempo (bpm), Time signature and Length

  3. Under Structure, add the parts of the song, such as intro, verse and chorus

Tap Add section for a new part.

  4. For each part, type the lyrics with the chords

Put a chord in brackets before the word where it starts, such as [G].

  5. Tap Save for the band

Change an existing song

Open the song, tap the three dots at the top right and then Edit.

What else you can do

  • ½ step down or ½ step up: all chords move along.
  • Learning: the song is at the top under Songs, and not yet offered when picking songs for a setlist.
  • Listen: paste a link to YouTube or Spotify under Paste the link.
  • Backing track: turn this on if the song has a track. Key and tempo are then fixed.
  • Fill in empty fields: Stagekit suggests artist, genre, key, tempo and length. Only empty fields are filled in. Check tempo and key.

Good to know

  • Only the admin may delete. The song then also leaves the setlists. For six seconds you see Undo.
  • Stagekit never fetches lyrics or chords from the internet by itself. The band enters its own arrangement.
  • Already have the sheets in Word or pdf? See Import songs.
