Your first time in Stagekit

The first time you log in, Stagekit helps you get going. What you see depends on how you got in.

You signed up the band

You see Set up your band, with a ring that fills up. Four steps, in any order:

  1. What do you play? Tap your instrument. Then your sheet is right straight away.
  2. Invite your band. Type a name and an email address on each line, for example Tom, tom@example.com. Tap Send invitations.
  3. First gig or rehearsal. Choose the kind, the day and the place. You fill in the rest later.
  4. Add songs. Paste a setlist or type titles, one per line. Stagekit looks up artist, key and tempo.

Every step is ticked off straight away. No time? Tap Skip, do it later. The Set up your band card then stays at the top of the agenda until everything is done. Once everything is done or skipped, your band is ready and you go to the agenda.

You were invited

The email says who invites you and for which band. Tap Join in, or type the code from the email in the app.

  1. You see who is already in the band. Tap Next.
  2. What do you play? The admin already chose something. If it's right, tap That's right. More than one is fine.
  3. This is what your sheet looks like. Choose Chords, Lyrics or Drums and tap This is fine.

After that

Then Stagekit asks whether you want a quick tour. See The tour in the app.

Good to know

  • You only see this once, also on a second phone or tablet.
  • You can change what you play and what you see on the sheet later. The admin does that in Manage, under Band. You choose your sheet yourself under Me.
